Jayde Nicole just found out that her friend and former Hills rival, Kristin Cavallari, is going through a break-up. How did she find out, you ask? Twitter, of course.

“I’m really surprised. The last time I talked to Kristin, she was happy and loved living in Chicago.”

Jayde goes on to say that Kristin was "really, really happy" with fiance Jay Cutler. “I hate that I had to read about it on Twitter.”

After spending 10 months together, Kristin Cavallari and beau Jay Cutler have called off their upcoming nuptials.

A source tells PEOPLE Magazine, "She got dumped. She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening."

The couple, who became engaged this past April were planning a wedding for next spring. "She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set," the source says. "She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way."

Last night at The Beverly Nightclub, Kristin "was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio. She was telling friends how they called off the engagement."

Cavallari's rep had no comment.

We all know Kristin Cavallari as one of the most notorious man-eaters of reality tv. But those days are long gone!

Kristin and her beau Jay Cutler (quarterback for the Chicago Bears) have been engaged since April and plan to wed sometime next year. So what was it about Jay that ended Kristin's man-eating days?

“He comes from a good family and he’s very down-to-earth,” Kristin told In Touch at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim's Official KickOff Party presented by SKYY Vodka and Diesel in Miami on July 14.

“This is for real,” she continued. “I’ve never felt more comfortable in my own skin with anybody else. He supports everything I do and is such a good encouragement for me. I couldn’t ask for a better man.”

Kristin Cavallari has made it clear, on several occassions, that her wedding won't be a Hills reunion. So even though Heidi Montag had Kristin as a guest at her wedding, Kristin won't be returning the favor when it comes to her upcoming nuptials to Jay Cutler.

But Heidi doesn't seem bothered. She addressed the issue this past week with Ryan Seacrest: "I Twittered her a congratulations [on her wedding] and everything. I really like Kristin, but we aren't super close friends. Plus it's also too far away, and I don't even know when she's getting married!"

"I didn't get the phone call...so...whatever. I couldn't go anyways," she continued. "I think her [wedding] is more like hooking up her single friends, and I don't need to be. I'm married."

Pretty Little Liars actress Troian Bellisario added a bracelet and necklace to here Tibi gown in May to an ABC event while former Hills star Kristin Cavallari wore minimal accessories in January.
