Sonam Kapoor looked exotic in a red Shane Falguni Peacock gown and one of a kind Boucheron necklace at the India International Jewelery Week 2011 (IIJW) Finale in Mumbai on Thursday, August 4, 2011.

The 26-year-old IIJW brand ambassador walked the ramp in the sheer gown with a plunging neckline in a tribute to the 153 year old French jewelry house Boucheron.

Sonam's sister, Rhea Kapoor, styled her for the catwalk and explained Sonam's look over Twitter.

"The inspiration tonight...a beautiful dark enchanted forest..." Rhea tweeted before the show.

Sonam's empire waist gown, accented with floral appliques, had a full skirt and a train.

he walked the ramp bare feet, with nude lip gloss, cat eyeliner, long lashes liberally coated with mascara, and pink blush. Her middle parted hair was styled in an updo with a bouffant top.

Colorful fresh flowers over the right ear rounded the insanely exotic look.

Sonam's attire and styling were outstanding, but still played second fiddle to what she wore around her neck - the one of a kind, Queen of the Night, floral necklace; encrusted with Diamonds, Rubies and a rare Sapphire. Sonam inaugurated the five-day long event on Sunday, July 31, strutting a Manish Malhotra blue chiffon sari and Amrapali jewels befitting a Rajkumari.

Kareena Kapoor will sizzle in Manish Malhotra ethnic attire in her upcoming film Bodyguard , co-starring Salman Khan.

The 30-year-old actress will strut cocktail saris, bright kurtas and exotic jewelry that the designer sourced from across the country.

"Kareena Kapoor goes ethnic in Bodyguard with mostly Indian traditional clothes. Most of the outfits, she will wear,are bright colors and have embroidered patch crochet and threadwork. She is looking like a million bucks in some of the outfits and can give any of her contemporaries a run for their money," says a source from the production set.

Here is Kareena's take on her Bodyguard styling:

"A woman can be glamorous in any avatar - be it a bikini or a sari...To me looking the part and playing the character right is more important that just looking glamorous."

Kareena's look in the film is endorsed by her co-star, Salman. In a recent interview, Salman named Kareena as his favorite co-star.

"Bebo is the original desi girl," he said.

In the film, Kareena plays Divya, a rich Punjabi college girl whose family is from Patiala. Salman Khan plays her bodyguard, Lovely Singh.

The film is due in theaters on August 31.

Deepika Padukone wowed in a red and golden anarkali dress appearing on an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 5 at Filmcity, Goregaon, Mumbai on Sunday, July 31.

She appeared on the show along with Aarakshan co-star Saif Ali Khan to plug the film.

Deepika's top had long sleeves, a heavily embellished bodice, and a shimmering golden hem that reached her ankles. She matched it with an ivory churidar.

She accessorized with tan leather embroidered mojaris and statement cage gold earrings.

Her hair was styled half up half down with a bouffant top and curly bottom tresses.

She matched the bold color of her dress with a red bindi, thick eyeliner on lids, nude lips and red nails.

Filming of the episode was stalled several times due to pelting rain that interfered with the sound recording.

When the filming finally wrapped, show host Amitabh Bachchan thanked Deepika and Saif for their patience over his Twitter account.

"A most exhausting day at KBC ... and the rain did not help the recording at all ... but thank you Saif and Deepika for bearing up .."

It is the season of reds for Deepika. She features on the cover of the August 2011 issue of Maxim wearing a red boyfriend blazer atop a black bikini top and black barely there shorts, and on inside pages in revealing red dresses.

The 26-year-old brand ambassador for the IIJW shared her excitement with her fans over her Twitter before the event.

"Leaving for iijw. Its going to be fantastic, creative and filled with beautiful jewelery."

Sonam was styled for the event by sister Rhea Kapoor who explained the look as:

Sonam's immaculately draped sari was accented with a wide satin border; she wore a matching blouse with a scoop neckline and elbow length sleeves, accented with golden scalloped lace.

She accessorized with metallic golden heels, tiered pearl jewelry on body, a five tier pearl and diamond necklace and diamond accented antique gold cuffs in her right arm.

Her 1930's inspired hair do added to her show stealer allure, waist length dark brown tresses styled in retro curls.

She wore thick eyeliner on lids, subtle blue eyeshadow and nude lips.

Just like her fans, Sonam herself loved her look too! She thanked Manish Malhotra for the beautiful sari:

The five day long IIJW is organized by Gems & Jewelery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). During the first four days, 35 designers will showcase their wares. A grand finale on the 5th day will put on display the best from all participants at IIJW.

The ramp shows are being choreographed by Lubna Adamns, Achla Sachdev and Elric Dsouza.

Abhishek Bachchan has asked YRF, producers of his next film Dhoom 3, for time off in November to be with his wife Aishwarya Rai and their new born.

Aishwarya and Abhishek's first baby is reportedly due in November, around the time Dhoom 3 was to begin production and Abhishek says "I want to be with Aishwarya at that time. It is my responsibility and wish."

A source tells Mumbai Mirror, "Abhishek wants to spend some quality time with his baby and wife before getting back to work. Hence, he requested YRF to postpone the shoot for a month or two."

YRF have readily conceded Abhishek's request and pushed back the film's start date.

So it's going to be Pop, then Dhoom. You can read that as Dhoom 3 will start filming after Aishwarya pops, or Dhoom 3 will start filming after Abhishek becomes a Pop!

Abhishek is ready to report for work from mid-December, but the filmmakers will have to ensure availability of locations and technicians, which may push filming start further to January.

As for other actors' dates, Uday Chopra has no other films on hand and Aamir Khan's parts were planned to be shot towards the end anyways.

A YRF spokesperson confirmed the new scheduling, but refused to term it as re-scheduling.

"Well, our schedule of Dhoom 3 has still not been finalized. So, it's a little premature to be discussing a postponement. And yes, most certainly we will keep in mind the arrival of joy in the Bachchan household while planning Abhishek's schedule."

"Aamir comes in only around April or May next year. As of now, he is busy preparing his character which is that of a gymnast."

In the new installment of the Dhoom franchise, Abhishek, 35, will reprise his role as ACP Jai Dixit, a no nonsense cop, perpetually chasing an elusive and slick thief (Aamir Khan) who is always one step ahead in the game. Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) will direct. No female lead has been finalized as yet.

Aishwarya featured as Sunehri in Dhoom 2 (2006), but was paired with Hrithik Roshan.

Anushka Sharma dropped jaws in a Stella McCartney satin jumpsuit at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2011 at Hotel Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai on Thursday, July 28.

Anushka's shimmery ankle length jumpsuit had round collar, long sleeves, rolled up to her elbows; and a waist band. The trousers had thigh baring side slits flaunting her toned legs.

Sonakshi Sinha looked sumptuous in skinny jeans and black tee at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai late noon Thursday, July 28.

The 24-year-old Bollywood heartthrob, at the studio to shoot a commercial, flashed her endearing smile at photogs as she stepped out of her vanity van.

Her fitted tee had the words Hardrock Barcelona emblazoned at the front.

She accessorized with purple bow top rain proof shoes, messenger bag, oversized brown sunglasses, stud earrings and silver bangles in her right arm.

Shah Rukh Khan looked stately dressed in crisp white dress shirt and black pants as he arrived at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai late noon Thursday, July 28 to shoot an ad film.

"had a shoot for ajay (Arora) my friends awesome company d'decor. raining like mad in mumbai...want to dance in the rain...wish the kids were awake," Shah Rukh tweeted after winding up from the shoot late at night.

Shah Rukh back in perfect shape now having regained some weight; he had started looking gawky earlier while filming RA.One in London.

The 45-year-old star was his usual amicable self as he arrived, and cheerily posed for photogs.

Back in August 2010, Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan were announced brand ambassadors for Mumbai based D'Decor, the world's third-largest producers of curtain and upholstery fabrics.

The couple filmed an ad for the brand in Hyderabad in November. This time Shah Rukh was all by himself.

Shah Rukh, a self confessed workaholic who manages with barely 3 to 4 hours of sleep, often speaks about his love for work.

"There is nothing that makes me more happy than making films," he says.

On July 26, after wrapping his most ambitious project, RA.One, Shah Rukh struck a philosophical note on Twitter.

"ra.one shoot finally over. we start films so that we complete them fast...but when they finish there is a sense of emptiness as if a difficult but passionate relationship has come to an end." he tweeted around midnight.

"film making is like love....like falling from a building...but not feeling the impact or the hurt till you reach the end. here's to new beginnings...cos endings are just beginnings backwards."

Katrina Kaif is set to reprise her roles in sequels to the films Singh is Kinng and Namastey London, both with co-star Akshay Kumar.

Bollywood heroines rarely get to reprise their roles in sequels as their presence in the cast is usually ornamental. Examples of leading ladies being dropped from sequels abound: Murder 2, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai 2, Housefull 2, Jism 2 and No Entry 2.

With Katrina, it doesn't matter if her role is not central to the plot of the film, her presence in the cast, even when ornamental, is considered central to the success of the film! Which is not to suggest that all Bollywood films have a plot to speak off!!

Katrina, 27, and Akshay Kumar, 43, were first paired in Namastey London (2007). In the flm, Katrina plays UK born, Jasmeet Malhotra and Akshay, Arjun Ballu Singh from Ludhiana.

Singh Is Kinng, directed by Anees Bazmi, was Akshay and Katrina's third film together within a year. Set in Australia, it had Katrina playing Sonia, born and raised in Australia, and Akshay, a Punjabi villager, Happy Singh. The film made on a budget of $11 million collected $35 million worldwide.

While Akshay and Vipul Shah, producer of both the films and director of Namastey London, are trying to figure out which film should begin production first, Katrina is cool with either film.

"I was the 'hero' of Namastey London. That's what we all joked about since the story revolved around me. But, I had great fun doing Singh Is Kinng too. It's their call," Katrina told Mid-Day.

Vipul wants to start filming Namastey London 2 first, but Akshay is keen on working on the Singh is Kinng sequel.

"Akshay had made a promise to do a Singh Is Kinng sequel in front of the Indian Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh in Toronto, so he is keen we carry forward the story," says Vipul.

"I don't mind doing either one first. But yes, I've made more progress with the script of Namastey London 2. Akshay needs to grow a proper Sardarji's beard to play Happy Singh again. For that, he'd first need to finish all his current assignments," he adds.

Katrina is currently prepping for YRF production Ek Tha Tiger with co-star Salman Khan, which starts production on August 10 in Dublin, Ireland. Next, she will work on another YRF production, Yash Chopra's directorial comeback headlining Shah Rukh Khan. The film additionally stars Anushka Sharma.

Katrina will be next seen in the much anticipated YRF production Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with co-stars Imran Khan and Ali Zafar due for release on September 9.

Madhuri Dixit channeled the 80's in sparkling motif embellished sari and curly updo at a press event to announce her new reality TV show Food Food Maha Challenge at Hotel Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai on Wednesday, July 27.

Her white sari had bold Paisley and floral appliques and golden sequin borders. She wore a cap sleeve blouse covered with golden sequins matching her sari's border.

She accessorized with flashy circular earrings and a ring each on both her ring fingers.

Her dark brown hair was styled in a curly updo with bangs framing her forehead and ringlets framing her face.

She wore bright makeup: shimmering mauve lipstick, thick liner on lids, lash extensions and golden eyeshadow. Red nails and a mesmerizing smile rounded the hot mama look.

The 44-year-old Bollywood sweetheart will co-host the show tag lined - Kitchen Ka Boss Kaun - with celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor.

The show will tour cities across the country, pitting a local women's team against a men's team in a cookery contest.

Madhuri will team with a professional chef to mentor the girls, while Kapoor will mentor the boys.

The 13-part TV series, produced by Fremantle India for Food Food channel, will be aired weekly, starting September.

Dixit is the lifestyle ambassador of the channel, and Kapoor its promoter.

Salman Khan will make a cameo appearance in Hema Malini directed and produced Tell Me O Kkhuda.

The film relaunches Esha Deol and additionally stars Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Madhoo, Arjan Bajwa and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

"Salman Khan has been very gracious to be a part of my film "Tell Me O Kkhuda".What an adorable person!!!!" Hema Malini tweeted early morning on July 27.

Salman and Esha were last seen together in their 2005 film No Entry.

Tell Me O Kkhuda tells the story of a young girl (Esha) who is in search of her father (Dharmendra).

Esha, daughter of Dharmendra and Hema, will be sharing screen space with her father for the first time.

Tell Me O Kkhuda will bow in theaters on September 9, clashing at the box office with YRF production Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

Madhuri Dixit looked a class act in a two tone yellow embellished sari and blue brocade blouse at the launch of India's First Virtual School Concept in Mumbai on Tuesday, July 26, 2011.

The 44-year-old Bollywood star's sari had sequined Paisley borders. She wore a floral print blouse with cap sleeves and scoop neckline.

She accessorized with diamond stud earrings, sparkling tiered bracelet in her right arm and multiple rings on both her hands.

Her shoulder length hair, styled in loose waves, draped her left shoulder, with side parted bangs framing her forehead. She wore shimmering mauve lipstick and thick eyeliner.

Aamir Khan, another celeb guest speaker invitee at the event, was a no show, as he is away on a vacation.

Madhuri's address as heard over a video hookup by thousands of students from 80 BMC run schools. She shared the stage with Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray, the brain behind the virtual education system who also spoke at the event.

In her speech, Madhuri said new technology is permeating through the country, including in the film industry of India. The virtual school concept will enable children from all socio-economic stratum who are intelligent to reach their potential.

Madhuri also took the opportunity to convey that as a dance lover, she would love to open a dance school in India.

"I feel importance must be given to art schools. There are not many in India. Art schools must be given equal footage as science ones. I would suggest Uddhav Thackeray to open art schools."

Sanjay Dutt opens up on why he declined a cameo role in Salman Khan's upcoming film Bodyguard, and hosted a separate party to celebrate wife Manyata's birthday for Shah Rukh Khan.

In an interview with NDTV, Sanjay Dutt says:

"Salman, who is like family to me, requested me to play a cameo role of his father in his film Bodyguard when another actor refused to be part of the project. But I politely declined. I am not old enough to play his dad, as there's not much of an age difference between us."

Dutt is 51, Salman, 45.

According to tabloids, Sanjay was upset over Salman's behavior with some guests at a party that Sanjay hosted to celebrate wife Manyata's birthday. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan was not at the party though Sanjay and Shah Rukh are close friends.

Sanjay hosted a second soiree the next day for Shah Rukh, Karan Johar and some other guests, speculation being that Sanjay wanted to send Salman, who doesn't get along with Shah Rukh, a message.

Sanjay rubbished the speculation.

"These are lies published to pit one actor against another! It's absolute rubbish. I did invite Shah Rukh for Maanyata's birthday bash, but he couldn't come as he was not free. This is also the reason he came to my house the next day."

Dutt confirmed that he will be co-hosting the news season of the reality TV series Bigg Boss with Salman, but only for the first two episodes.

"Then I will take over as the friend, philosopher and guide of the inmates of the Bigg Boss house," he said.

Asked which of his father's film would he want to remake and act in, Sanjay said:

"I'd give my right arm to produce and act in a film like Mujhe Jeene Do, which I feel was my father's all time best film."

Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, who are working together for the first time in an upcoming film `Desiboyz`, seem to be bonding big time.

Maybe the reason behind their bonding is the common heartbreak-issue, which DP went through last year and John seems to be sailing through currently.

DP and John are currently shooting in London for their film and they seem to be spending a lot of time in getting to know each other.

Given that it’s the first time the two have come together professionally or for that matter interacted, the whole unit was surprised to see their bonding.

A source revealed to a daily, “John and Deepika have become really good friends. They are close to the extent that he even talked about his break up and the low phase in his life with her. Even though the London schedule is over, they are still in touch and are looking forward to working together again. Deepika not only lent him an ear, but also understood his situation and his need to keep it private.”

DP gave tips to John on how to deal with a break up and get a closure. “She has emerged as a stronger person after her split with Ranbir and she could feel his pain. They both bonded on topics of relationship and heart break.”

Anushka Sharma, who made a big splash in Bollywood with her grand debut with Shah Rukh Khan, is showered with exciting offers. The Bangalore girl looked a girl next door in her first film but surprised the audiences with her bold avatar in `Badmash Company` opposite Shahid Kapoor.

The actress, who for a short while was criticised for her anorexic look has now worked hard on her body and looks fuller. However, she is not too sure if wearing a bikini is a good idea for her or not.

Anushka is not too convinced if it is a great idea to flaunt her body in a bikini. She had a meeting with the creative head of the production house to ask for his second opinion on this matter.

A source revealed to a daily, “Anushka is in two minds over the bikini for the film. Even though she`s in the right shape, the actress feels she might over-expose and get flak for it. In the past there have been offers where she had to wear a two-piece but she rejected them saying she needed to work out and that she wasn`t in the best of her shape. This time, however, she doesn`t have an excuse since she`s looking fitter than ever.”

Music rights for Rakesh Roshan directed superhero film Krrish - 2 headlining Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Chitrangadha Singh and Vivek Oberoi have reportedly been sold to T-series for Rs 6 crore.

The Krrish (2006) sequel seems has started making bank well before production starts in October 2011!

Rakesh Roshan, who is also producing the film through Filmkraft, has already sold the film to multiple distributors.

Eros has purchased the international rights. Mumbai area remains with Rakesh Roshan himself. The TV rights have been sold to a channel at a price higher than Aamir Khan got for 3 Idiots.

Krrish was the highest grosser of 2006, so expectations are understandably high from the sequel.

Deepika Padukone rocked her hourglass figure in a nude bandage dress at the launch of UTV's new TV show 'Publicity Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega' on Monday, July 25 at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai.

The 25-year-old model turned actress was joined at the presser by her Aarakshan co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpai, and director Prakash Jha.

Deepika's body hugging below knee length dress had cap sleeves and a revealing square neckline.

She paired her dress with snake print glossy heels.

Justifying the use of the show to plug their new film, Deepika said: "We are doing what everyone else does. Promoting a film is very important before its release. There are so many mediums to use such as internet, print so its necessary to communicate about the film."

Talking about the subject of her film, Aarakshan (Reservation), she told the gathered media: "When I got admission into college it was through sports quota, so my college did have reservation for athletes and for people who have excelled in sports."

UTV Bindass channel's new Bollywood show is designed to promote new films. The 30 minute show will feature unedited scenes and behind the scene moments from the film being promoted on it along with star cast interviews and fun-games related to the flick.

The bi-weekly show premieres Thursday, August 11 at 8.30 pm with Prakash Jha's Aarakshan, headlining Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.

The film's cast and director will feature on the episode hosted by Aaliyah, who was earlier seen hosting Date Trap on Bindass.

Aarakshan is due in theaters on August 12.

She was joined at the event by co-star Emran Hashmi and producers Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt, the latter accompanied by wife Soni Razdan. Together they cut a celebratory cake.

Others attending the bash included Prachi Desai, Kunal Khemu, T-Series Head Honcho Bhushan Kumar and wife Divya Khosla, script writer Shagufta Rafiq, Manav Gohil, Shweta Kawatra, director Mohit Suri and sister Smilie Suri and Vikram Bhatt.

The film, a sequel to the 2004 hit Murder, opened in theaters on July 8. It garnered Rs 22.35 crore in the opening weekend and a gross of Rs 43.50 crore over two weeks.
