Leonardo DiCaprio was Hollywood's highest earning actor in 2010, having made an estimated $ 77 million from Shutter Island and Inception, according to Forbes.
Johnny Depp, with $50 million, was ranked No. 2 on the Forbes list of highest earning actors for the year ending May 1.
Shutter Island, directed by Martin Scorsese, and Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan, together earned an estimated $1.2 billion. Besides taking an upfront fee, DiCaprio also shares profits from his projects.
Adam Sandler ($40 million), Will Smith ($36 million) and Tom Hanks ($35 million) are ranked 3, 4, and 5 respectively in the Forbes list.
DiCaprio is not just riding a professional high, he has also been riding a bike, with girlfriend Blake Lively in New York city, belying rumors that the couple have split. From the look on Lively's face, the experience was exhilarating, perhaps in more ways than she had bargained for.
