Ahead of United Cube’s family concert on August 14th, Cube Entertainment artists B2ST, 4minute and G.NA gave fans a sneak peek of what to expect with an exclusive special stage performance of their family song, “Fly So High” on today’s SBS’s Inkigayo!

“Fly So High” is a collaboration track featuring the afore-mentioned twelve Cube Entertainment family members, now known as ‘U-Cube’. It’s an upbeat and addictive song that harmonizes the artists’ unique talents to create the perfect feel-good summer track.


While the song was in its production stages, the U-Cube family members were honest with one another, offering their experience and expertise to help each other refine their talents, as they worked more earnestly on this track than any of their previous projects.

This is a pretty unusual move by Cube especially as they are revealing it for the 1st time on television instead of at their concert. Regardless, the fans are certainly not complaining for sure.

The group have once again rocked the stage with a powerful, energetic choreography. Since the lyrics for “Mr. Simple” express society’s loss of motivation and dreams due to their overly-complicated lifestyles, Super Junior decided to deliver flashy visuals to match their message.

SBS’s Inkigayo is back once again, and this week’s show was full of amazing and fun performances from the top participating K-pop artists!

The ‘Take 7‘ nominees for this week’s show were MBLAQ (“Mona Lisa“), HyunA (“Bubble Pop!“), T-ara (“Roly-Poly“), INFINITE (“Be Mine“), miss A (“Good Bye Baby“), 2NE1 (“Ugly“) and TEEN TOP (“No More Perfume On You“). HyunA has already ended her promotions earlier this week.














We had a new winner this week as it was announced that 2NE1 had won the Mutizen award. Congratulations to 2NE1 as they completed a trophy sweep with different songs, having won on Mnet M! Countdown and KBS Music Bank earlier this week.

After abruptly concluding her “Bubble Pop!” promotions this week, 4minute’s HyunA will be making a comeback with her follow-up promotions for “Just Follow“.

On August 6th, a representative of Cube Entertainment revealed, “HyunA and the rest of the artists under Cube Entertainment are all busy preparing for the ‘United Cube‘ concert on August 14th. After the concert, HyunA will be going straight into her follow-up promotions at the end of the month.”

They continued, “Her follow-up song is ‘Just Follow’, a song that previously earned attention as an infectious hip hop-dance track featuring rapper Dok2. Fans will be able to see a new image of HyunA with the song’s heavy beats.”

MBC’s Music Core is back once again with another fun and exciting show!

Also in attendance were 200 youths from 23 countries around the world, who had been invited by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the National Council of Youth Organizations. The 200 youths are going to watch Music Core and act as Hallyu ambassadors when they return home.

Besides the usual stages, Super Junior, and 2NE1 made their respective comebacks. Elsewhere, ZE:A begun their follow-up promotions with “Heart for 2“.

With SHINee’s Minho and Onew on a temporary leave of absence, Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk were listed as special 1-day MCs alongside Suzy and Jiyeon.

Except that it didn’t happen, as the Super Junior duo were nowhere to be seen besides the lovely ladies until Super Junior’s comeback performance at the very end. We wonder why…

On the August 4th episode of Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown, the ladies of Brave Girls finally made their comeback with their title track, “Easily“!

Their comeback mini-album, “Back to da Future“, includes a variety of different genres with inspiration from the ’80s and ’90’s. Their title track in particular is a medium tempo song of the reggae genre that’s both easy to sing along to and addictive.

The song features the leader of Korea’s reggae scene, Skull, and is produced by Brave Brothers.

Skull praised, “As a rookie girl group, it’s difficult to take on a wide range of genres. ‘Why So Often’ best exemplifies the girls’ distinct color and combines a reggae style that’s mainstream enough to capture the hearts of the public.” Brave Brothers also revealed, “It’s the best song I’ve ever made in my life thus far.”

f(x)’s Sulli has been gaining a lot of attention lately, thanks to her newest CF for Sony Cybershot cameras.

Stills and video taken on set were recently shared on Internet community boards; the CF itself was filmed in selca fashion and took an entire day to record.

Using the newest compact camera (affectionally called the ‘Sulli DiCa’), Sulli shows the progression of her day, starting in pajamas before proceeding to makeup, to traveling in the car, and finally ending in the practice room – all while showing her lovable personality.

Most highly noted are her various facial expressions and her cute ‘eye-smiles’, rendering a new term from netizens called “Sullvely,” a compound word combinding of ‘Sulli’ and ‘lovely.’

Netizens also commented, “Sulli really has the best eye-smiles,” “The fact that they could make a CF just out of her expressions shows how Sullvely she is,” and “She looks cute having fun by herself.”

T-ara have finally released the music video for their remade track, “Roly-Poly in Copacabana“.

“Roly-Poly in Copacabana” was named after a popular disco club from the ’80s.

The new music video was filmed in a way to remind 40-50 year olds of their school days, and the memories of their summer vacations.

Much effort was put into the making of the song in order to revive the musical style of the time and the instruments that they used.

At the concert, Junsu performed “I Can Soar” from JYJ’s worldwide album, “The Beginning“, and “Intoxication” from his Japanese single. Junsu also made sure to prepare a special event for ‘Yeon Jae’, who is diagnosed to be terminally ill.

Producers commented, “Although it was his first time acting, he was the absolute perfect fit for his character. His perfect stage manners and passion truly makes him Asia’s greatest stars. Staff members and co-stars all had a fun time enjoying the concert.”

The official trailer and teaser poster for Jay Park’s upcoming movie, “Mr. Idol“, have been revealed!

The poster features the four members of the movie’s fictional boy band, ‘Mister Children‘. At the front with his six-packs is lead vocalist ‘Yujin’, who is played by Ji Hyun Woo. Beside him is Jay Park, who plays the role of ‘Jio’, an easy-to-aggravate but loyal member of the band.

Many noted that the two remaining members were cut off in the frame, drawing strong curiosity from viewers. Also included with the poster was a video with a ‘D-87′ counter that showed footage from their pre-debut up ’til their debut.

Big Bang’s Taeyang has revealed a picture of himself with his ‘old friend’ G-Dragon.

On July 31st, Taeyang tweeted,

“I’m having lunch with my old friend at ABIKO :) It’s my first time at ABIKO.. It’s really tasty!!“

Taeyang and G-Dragon went out to eat at a curry restaurant in Korea. Since the two are top fashionistas in the idol world, their natural and innocent appearances have gathered much attention.
