Offering up additional insight into the the highly-anticipated film, director Sir Peter Jackson has released a second production video from the set of "The Hobbit" movies in New Zealand.
The 10-minute diary, taped at the end of the first block of filming, follows Jackson as he and his team set out to find suitable filming conditions while surveying the land for proper backdrops for both "Unexpected Journey" and "There And Back Again."
The latest blog entry also features footage of Jackson with Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, as he tends to his new role as second director of the much-talked about pair of fantasy flicks.
Shooting of the J.R.R. Tolkeien story is slated to resume September 5 of this year, while the first installment "An Unexpected Journey" is due in theaters on December 14, 2012.
